hip surgery recovery time
Has your dog had hip dysplasia surgery?
I am wondering about the cost and recovery time. Will I need to take off work?
My dog had the femoral head removed on one hip. His first week was harsh…I would not want to have left him alone during that time. He was able to walk around but wasn’t all that sensible about what he was doing. However, he has a brother that was a significant contributing factor. You may have it easier if you only have the one dog. If not, if you could find someone who is a work at home person, I would suggest leaving him there after the surgery for the first week so he can be watched and helped on a 24 hour basis. My dog woke me up several times and needed help to get up. My dog’s weight was a factor too-115 pounds. Hope this helps!!! DOGS RULE!!
