Knee-Shaped cake?
My father is having his knees replaced (the whole family is really happy about this – it sucks seeing him have such a hard time getting around) and the first surgery is Jan. 18th, 2008. My family has a pretty good sense of humor, and I love to bake, so I thought it would be funny to create a knee-shaped cake for him when he gets out of the hospital. I don’t know how to go about doing this though – any ideas?
Your best bet might be to start with a larger size cake (square or round) and then cut it in the shape of a knee. If you get white frosting and make some pinkish frosting (from red and white) you could even paint bandages around the knee section to make it look more like a broken knee.
